Summer Opening of the Buckingham’s Staterooms

The Summer Opening gives you the opportunity to enter the Buckingham
Palace and explore its grand State Rooms. The Royal Family still uses these
rooms for receiving and entertaining guests on ceremonial occasions and state
visits.
As part of the 70th birthday celebration of the Prince of Wales, the Prince and
Patrol is also included in the tour. The Prince and Patrol is an extraordinary
display of more than 100 works of art that His Royal Highness has personally
selected. The exhibit features paintings by Canaletto, Rubens, and Rembrandt,
as well as Sevres porcelain and a choice selection of the finest French and
English furniture across the world. You will also find exquisite Faberge eggs and
other delicate and lovely royal gifts on display while being a resident at
Mowbray Court Hotel.
The Buckingham Palace, the official home and office of Queen Elizabeth II, is
widely regarded as the most illustrious royal palace in England. King George III
acquired the palace as a gift for Queen Charlotte, his wife, in 1761.
The Duke of Buckingham was the original owner of what was once called the
Buckingham House. It later became popularly referred to as the “Queen’s House.”
The townhouse was later renovated and transformed into a palace.
Queen Victoria chose to live in the palace in 1873, the first sovereign to do so.
When Queen Elizabeth II acceded to the throne, she made the palace her official
residence. The palace remains part of dwindling number of working royal palaces
that the world has today.
The public has had a strong interest in the Queen from the very beginning of her
reign. Today, everybody seems even more curious and interested. The attention
has been fanned by “The Crown,” a television show that features the monarch’s
early years as a ruler. The wedding of Meghan Markle to Prince Harry has
brought this fascination to even greater heights. To be a part of this event, many
tourists preferred to stay at one of the budget hotels in Central London.
Make sure that you don’t miss this summer’s opening of the Palace’s staterooms.
It is your chance to marvel at the luxurious rooms, the grand staircase, the
sculptures, artwork, state coaches, and the remarkable gardens of
Buckingham Palace.
